The Blacksburg Planning and Building Department has received a request for a Conditional Use Permit to allow a Fine Arts Studio in the Old Town Residential Zoning District at 403 Washington Street, SW, by the YMCA at Virginia Tech. This is a revision to a previous conditional use permit resulting in Resolution 11-E-90. The following meetings are opportunities to learn more about and comment on this petition.
You are invited to a public neighborhood meeting on Thursday, February 4, 2010, at 5:30 p.m. in the Blacksburg Motor Company Conference Room at 400 South Main Street to learn more about the application. This is an opportunity to discuss the petition with the applicant. Town staff will provide meeting notes to the Planning Commission.
The Planning Commission Work Session is scheduled for Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at 5:30 p.m. in the Blacksburg Motor Company Conference Room at 400 South Main Street.
The Planning Commission will consider the amendment on Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at 7:30 p.m. in the Roger E. Hedgepeth Chambers located on the second floor of the Municipal Building, 300 South Main Street. This is a Public Hearing and comment is welcome. The Town Council Public Hearing will be scheduled once Planning Commission makes a final recommendation to Council.
