All Town of Blacksburg administrative offices will be closed, Monday, Dec. 10 due to weather conditions. 

Also there will be no refuse/recycling service in the southeast quadrant, Monday, Dec. 10. Makeup service will be Wednesday, Dec. 12. Please have trash and recycling at the curb by 7 a.m. on Wednesday. 

Blacksburg Transit service will begin at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 10; this applies to all routes in Blacksburg, Christiansburg and the commuter route. Please allow extra time for travel as delays should be expected. Please visit https://www.ridebt.org for more updates.

NRV Regional Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day

Residents served by the New River Resource Authority (NRAA) are invited to participate in the Regions HHW Event on Saturday, April 14, 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. at the Radford University Dedmon Center Parking Lot Z (Riverside). 

For questions regarding the types of material accepted call the Office of Waste Reduction and Recycling at 540-443-1212 or Montgomery Regional Solid Waste Authority, at 540-381-2820. 

No commercial waste or commercial vehicles will be accepted for HHW. Commercial waste and commercial vehicles will be accepted for document shredding and electronic waste. NRRA will accept plastic bags.
