The Town of Blacksburg Parks and Recreation has 20 parks, (over 500 acres), of open space for the public to enjoy for active and passive enjoyment. Use the map below or the links on the left to visit each park for more information.

Park Regulations 

The use of drones (any unmanned aerial vehicle) in any town park is prohibited. "Use” means controlling or directing the flight of drones or operating any drone in the airspance (up to 100 feet) over a town park. - Town Code § 15.2-101

1/4 mile west of 460 bypass on Toms Creek Road on right.


  • Hours: Sunrise to Sunset.
  • Dogs must be current on all vaccinations.
  • Dogs must have a current dog license and wear an owner identification tag at all times.
  • Dogs must be leashed when entering and exiting the Dog Park.
  • Aggressive dogs are not permitted on the premises. Dogs must be removed at the first sign of aggression.
  • Female dogs in heat are prohibited from entering the park.
  • Dog owners must be in the park and within view of their dogs at all times.
  • Dog owners must keep their leash in hand at all times.
  • Owners must clean up dog waste. Seal waste in the provided plastic bags before disposing in designated receptacles.
  • Fill any holes your dog digs.
  • Dogs less than four months of age are prohibited.
  • Maximum limit of two dogs per adult in the park at any time.

Each handler is legally responsible for his or her dog, and The Town of Blacksburg will assume no responsibility for any injuries to humans or animals. Failure to abide by the park rules may result in loss of privileges or owners may be ticketed.
