Get up early and get fit with Blacksburg Parks & Recreation

Starting Monday, Oct. 1 the Blacksburg Community Center will open its doors at 6 a.m. for new classes and programs. These classes are not part of the exercise pass system.

Monday and Wednesday HIIT class

Time: 6:15-6:45 a.m.
Ages: 16 & up
Fee (R/NR): $30/$40

Start your morning off with a quick, high intensity cardio session to raise your heart rate and challenge your strength. A variance of free weights, bands, and body weight exercises allow for the perfect combination to help you get your sweat on! This is not part of the pass system.

Tuesday and Thursday Kettlebell Class

Time: 6:15-6:45 a.m.
Ages: 16 & up
Fee (R/NR): $35/$45

Find a new way to tone and muscle up using kettlebells! Swing, lunge, and lift to raise your heart rate and develop your fitness. Improve body composition and cardiovascular endurance with a fun, fast-paced class that will get you ready to dive into your day!

Tuesday and Thursday Wake Up Yoga and Stretch class

Time: 6:30-7:15 a.m.
Ages: 16 & up
Fee (R/NR): $50/$60

This class will help you loosen stiff muscles and get ready for the day through different stretching techniques based on our popular Flow Yoga program. This course will allow you to get up, get out and feel great!

Tuesday and Thursday Group Circuit Training

Time: 7-8 a.m.
Ages: 16 & up
Fee (R/NR): $50/$60

Find a happy medium between personal training and group fitness classes by joining Group Circuit Training. This smaller class uses machine and free weight circuits to advance strength, form, and flexibility, all while allowing for a more individualized workout compared to larger fitness classes.
