My-Waste app changing to Recycle Coach as of June 14

Residents can download Recycle Coach to receive the same service

Post Date:04/24/2019 11:33 AM

Due to changes to Apple’s App Store Review Guidelines, Recycle Coach has been notified that it can no longer continue offering both the Recycle Coach and My-waste apps. As a result, the My-Waste app must be discontinued and will not be available for download on iOS/Android stores as of June 14, 2019.

Residents currently on My-Waste are encouraged to download Recycle Coach to continue receiving relevant local recycling information. With it, they’ll get the same exceptional service they came to expect from My-Waste, only under a new brand. While the My-Waste app will continue to work on mobile devices, it will not be receiving any additional product updates or support, and its app store presence will be removed.

In the coming weeks, My-Waste users can expect special messaging with their collection reminders notifying them to update to Recycle Coach. Residents who use their community’s web app will notice a banner informing them about the transition. To stay ahead of the curve, you can download Recycle Coach for iOS/Android devices today.

Recycle Coach offers the same features as My-Waste, including:

  • Personalized curbside collection and events calendars
  • Collection reminders and real-time updates on service disruptions
  • Disposal information for 10,000+ items with the "What goes where?" search tool
  • The problem-reporting tool, equipped with geolocation, to notify municipal customer services about issues like missed collections

Recycle Coach will continue receiving updates and support through iOS/Android app stores. Recycle Coach users will not be affected by this change.
