The Town of Blacksburg has received an amendment request to the University City Boulevard Signage Overlay District adopted by Ordinance #1417 in 2006. The request is to allow one additional freestanding sign on the Holiday Inn parcel at 900 Prices Fork Road. The additional sign is proposed for the easternmost entrance along Prices Fork Road and will be similar in size, color, and materials as the existing sign on-site. The following meetings are opportunities to learn more about and comment on this petition:
You are invited to a public neighborhood meeting at 5:30 pm on Wednesday, August 4, 2010 in the Blacksburg Motor Company Conference Room, 400 South Main Street, to learn more about the application. This is an opportunity to discuss the petition with the applicant. Town staff will provide meeting notes to the Planning Commission
The Planning Commission will consider the petition on Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at 7:30 pm in the Roger E. Hedgepeth Chambers, second floor of the Blacksburg Municipal Building, 300 South Main Street. This is a Public Hearing and comment is welcome. The Town Council Public Hearing will be scheduled once Planning Commission makes a final recommendation to Town Council.
