On Tuesday, June 1, sidewalk construction will begin on Turner Street between Owens Street and Giles Road. An additional 300 feet section of sidewalk will be installed on Patrick Henry Drive directly across from the entrance into the Blacksburg High School Gymnasium. Construction is scheduled to be completed by September 30, 2010.
There are no scheduled lane closures planned for this construction project, however temporary disruption of traffic may occur on an intermittent basis, and the existing traffic pattern will be altered. Please be aware of the construction activity and drive with extra caution through the work zone areas. Do not park in or around the construction areas.
