Update on Rezoning 13-0001/Conditional Use Permit 13-0002 Entitled "Midtown Village"
The rezoning/conditional use petition filed with the Town of Blacksburg on March 27, 2013 entitled Midtown Village has been withdrawn. The withdrawal letter from Mr. James Cowan, dated June 14, 2013, can be viewed below.

A master plan for the Old Blacksburg Middle School property was adopted by the Town of Blacksburg and Montgomery County in June 2011. The master plan consists of a resolution adopted by Blacksburg Town Council describing the street and parcel development, as well as graphics illustrating variations in the plan and visual examples of the design concepts in the plan. The property is owned by Montgomery County. The property is currently zoned R-4 (Low Density Residential, four dwelling units per acre) and implementation of the master plan will require the consideration of a rezoning petition, through a public hearing process, by the Blacksburg Planning Commission and Town Council.
