This part-time position will provide customer service to patrons by answering a multi-line telephone system and providing reception assistance in the Recreation Administration Office. This position requires the ability to demonstrate initiative, work independently and communicate effectively with both citizens and employees.
Responsibilities will include understanding and executing standard office practices and procedures, using a computer for various projects, registration of program participants utilizing Rec Trac software, assisting both internal and external customers, flyer preparation, copying, sorting mail, and assisting other Recreation facilities with projects and tasks as assigned.
Qualified applicants must have a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to operate a multi-line telephone system, fax machine and copy machine. Experience working with the Microsoft Office Suite is required. A valid Virginia driver’s license and an excellent driving record are also required. A satisfactory post-offer, pre-employment criminal background investigation will be required of the selected applicant.
Hourly rate is $9.50. Working hours will be Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM. Schedule may vary on occasion, depending upon seasonal demands and current workload. This position will not exceed 1,500 hours during the initial year of employment or during the Affordable Care Act measurement period of April 1st through March 31st.
