This position will require the introduction and teaching of art to children 7 – 14 years of age, in a semi-structured setting. Qualified applicants must be creative and able to plan a variety of art projects using a wide range of media. This position will teach children how to use colors, shapes, patterns and sizes while encouraging imagination, expression and communication through art. The close supervision of children will be required at all times.
Qualified applicants for this position must be 18 years of age or older to be considered and have the ability to successfully complete a CPR and First Aid Course. A high school diploma or G.E.D. is required. Previous experience in art instruction is preferred. A satisfactory post-offer, pre-employment criminal background investigation will be required of the selected applicant.
Hourly rate is $13.50. This position will not exceed 1,500 hours during the initial year of employment or during the Affordable Care Act measurement period of April 1st through March 31st. Selected applicants must be able to work the program in its entirety. Duration of position will be from June through July 2019 and work hours will be Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM until 4:30 PM.
