The Comprehensive Plan is the community’s vision for Blacksburg’s future. Learn more about the current plan here. This is the document that helps guide decision making in our community. We are doing a major update for the plan throughout 2017 and 2018. We want you to be engaged!

What do you think about Blacksburg as a place to live, work, and play? What do you like, what do you want to see in the future?

Whether you have lived in the community all of your life, moved for a job, attend school here, came to retire or are a visitor – we want Blacksburg to be a special place for you.

We want Blacksburg to meet your expectations as a whole life community to live, work, and play.

Our community is growing and changing. You can shape the future of Blacksburg so this town meets your needs now and as your life changes.

We asked for your bright ideas, here is what the community shared:

As soon as meeting dates are established, they will be posted here.

There are also other map changes proposed by Town staff.  Some are more straight forward and others are more substantive in nature.  Information on those proposed changes will also be posted here as they are proposed.
