Independence Day Closings

  • Date: 07/03/2026  (all day)

Independence Day is Saturday, July 4, and is observed as a town holiday on Friday, July 3. The following operating schedules will be in place on Friday, July 3, and Saturday, July 4:

Town Offices: Town administrative offices will be closed.

Blacksburg Transit: Bus service will operate as scheduled on Friday, July 3, though BT administrative offices will be closed. There will be no bus service on Saturday, July 4. Please plan your travel accordingly.

Parks and Recreation: Blacksburg Community Center and Aquatic Center will operate as scheduled on Friday, July 3 and be closed on Saturday, July 4.

Trash Pickup: Trash in the SW Quadrant will occur as scheduled on Friday, July 3.
