The Town of Blacksburg invites the public to provide comments on the draft Local Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) Action Plan, which outlines the sources of pollutants in our waterways and the reduction strategies the Town is undertaking to protect and enhance our local waterways.  

As part of the Town’s Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) General Permit issued by the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ), the Town is required to update our local TMDL action plans developed initially in 2015.

PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD - The draft updated TMDL Action Plan will be available for public comment through July 11, 2025.  Please email public comments to stormwater@blacksburg.gov during that timeframe.
