Beginning Monday, July 7 at 8 am, the through and right turn lane, 2-hr parking area, and sidewalk at Clay Street SW and South Main Street will be closed. A contractor working on the Blacksburg Motor Company building will be utilizing the lane, parking area, and sidewalk to perform maintenance on the building’s façade.

Vehicles wishing to proceed on Clay Street or turn on South Main Street will be able to do so from the remaining lane but should proceed with caution. Pedestrians will be directed to cross at South Main Street and Draper Road and utilize the sidewalk on the north side of Clay Street SW. Pedestrians and motorists are encouraged to seek alternate options if possible.

Work is expected to take four days to complete. The through and right turn lane, and parking area will be closed daily between 8 am and 6 pm. All work is expected to be completed by 6pm on Thursday, July 10.
