Kabrich Street Closure: May 18 – May 30
Beginning on Monday, May 18 at 12PM, Kabrich Street between Moore’s Body & Mechanical Shop and Blacksburg Bagels will be closed to traffic until Saturday, May 30. Businesses along Kabrich Street will be open and accessible during this time. Click here for a map showing the detour routes to access Blacksburg Bagels and JND Pawnbrokers from North Main Street.
The closure is required to replace the culverts crossing Kabrich Street as part of the Rambler Blacksburg project. During this closure, construction will take place 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to facilitate opening the road by May 30, weather permitting. Paving Operations in Mountain View Neighborhood: May 18
Beginning Monday, May 18 at 7AM, paving work will commence on portions of the Mountain View neighborhood streets. Areas affected are:
Palmer Drive from Cohee Road to Hemlock Drive SE
Sunset Boulevard from Palmer Drive to Willard Drive
Cohee Road from South Main Street to Willard Drive
Eheart Street from South Main Street to Preston Avenue
Kentwood Drive from Cohee Road to Eheart Street SE
Paving work will be conducted daily between 7AM and 7PM. Milling of the road surface will precede paving work; residents are asked to move their vehicles until all road resurfacing is complete.
Alternating lane closures with a flagger will be employed to maintain traffic. Work will be coordinated to limit impacts and maintain access to adjacent residents and businesses. Short-duration closures of entrances should be expected to complete milling and resurfacing operations. Work is expected to take two weeks, weather permitting. Eheart St. Road Closure May 4 - 18
Beginning on Monday, May 4 at 7am, Eheart Street between South Main Street and Draper Road will be closed to through traffic; local traffic will be able to access this block from Draper Road. This closure is due to construction work on the Eheart Street Cycle Track.

Partial Road Closure: Kabrich St. – May 14-15
There will be a partial closure on Kabrich Street between Webb Street and Winston Avenue on May 14 – 15 from 8am – 5pm. Flagging crews will be on site to direct traffic around the closure. The closure is due to Atmos Energy retiring a gas main in the area.
Partial Overnight Road Closure: North Main St. – May 13
There will be a partial overnight road closure at the 900 block of North Main Street on May 13 from 12:45-5:45am. Flagging crews will be on site to direct traffic around the closure. The closure is due to Fiber Network Services installing fiber in the area.
Partial Road Closure: Harding Ave. – May 13-15
There will a partial road closure on Harding Avenue from approximately Cork to Patrick Henry Drive on May 13 – 15 from 7am – 6pm. Flagging crews will be on site to direct traffic around the closure. The closure is so crews can pave and patch the asphalt as part of the Harding Avenue Stormwater Improvement Project.
Partial Road Closure: McBryde and Buchanan Dr. – May 12-14
There will be partial closures on
McBryde and

There will be partial closures along Broce Drive, Elizbeth Drive and on Golfview Drive on May 15-21 from 7am-5pm. Flagging crews will be on site to direct traffic around the closure. The closure is due to Shentel laying conduit in the area.
Partial Road Closure: Roanoke St. – May 15
There will a partial road closure on Roanoke Street E from approximately Allegheny Street to Fincastle Drive on Friday, May 15 from 9am – 3pm. Flagging crews will be on site to direct traffic around the closure. The closure is due to AEP doing work in the area.
