The Town of Blacksburg will begin fire hydrant flushing in the Southwest Quadrant of Town starting June 22 through July 30. Hydrant flushing helps maintain water quality and ensures that hydrants are functioning properly.  Hydrant flushing can cause temporary pressure fluctuations and discolored water. If your water is discolored, run the cold water tap until the water clears. These conditions will subside after the flushing is completed.
