If you've ever considered running for office or serving on one of the town's citizen advisory committees, this 9–10 week course is the perfect place to start. Meet town staff, gain insight into how your local government operates, and discover the award-winning programs and services that make Blacksburg a great place to live.

Join us to take the first step toward becoming a more informed and engaged member of the community:

• Registration begins in January; specific program dates for the year are announced when registration opens. 
• Classes are held on Monday evenings each spring, from 6pm-8pm.

The course fills up quickly and is limited to 25 participants.
