The Town of Blacksburg is committed to helping restaurants open outdoor dining safely and successfully in accordance with the Governor’s Executive Order (EO) 61. While we would all like to enjoy dining outside at our favorite restaurants as the weather improves it is important to be vigilant in following the required safety guidelines.
As a general reminder, physical distancing between parties at tables must be a minimum six feet apart and frequently touched objects and surfaces must be cleaned and disinfected regularly.
Below are restaurant resources that outline the requirements under EO 61, and the Town of Blacksburg and Virginia ABC processes for creating or expanding outdoor dining. The Town will happily assist restaurants that require further guidance.
