Description:
Conditional Use Permit request (CUP-25-4) for multi-family duplex use in OTR Old Town Residential. A previously approved CUP request for duplex (CUP-21-0008) has expired. The basement level of the three-level building will be used as storage and mechanical space and the upper two floors will each have one (1) two-bedroom/1-bath apartment on each floor. The existing four (4) parking spaces will stay at the rear of the property to serve the units. A Type A Buffer yard will proposed vegetation and fencing is proposed along the rear property line. The applicant does not request any modifications or exceptions to town code. The Town of Blacksburg Comprehensive Future Land Use designation is Medium Density Residential. This proposed development will not increase density beyond the future land use designation.
