Description:

Special Exception Request to Section 4528.2 (1) of the Blacksburg Zoning Ordinance Use and Design Standards for Hotel/Motel use to allow parking in front of the front building line for a proposed hotel/motel at 1315 Rugby Lane.  The proposed development, Fairfield Inn, is currently a vacant parcel of 1.711 acres and is a by-right commercial use in GC General Commercial.  The developer requests a special exception to permit eighteen (18) of the 102 total parking spaces to be situated in front of the front building line.  Town Council can grant a special exception per Section 1112 of the Blacksburg Zoning Ordinance.  The Future Land Use designation in the Town of Blacksburg Comprehensive Plan is Commercial.
